Japanese version of Bangabandhu’s historic 7th March speech published

The Japanese version of Bangabandhu’s historic 7th March speech has been published. Father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman delivered the historic speech- which is called the certificate of Bangalee nation’s liberation, at the then the Racecourse ground on March 7, 1971.

Bangladesh embassy in Tokyo of Japan published the translated copy of that historic speech.

In a message the embassy said, the speech was translated into Japanese as the first foreign language after English.

Daughter of Bangabandhu and Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina held roundtable meeting with top Japanese businessmen while her visit in Japan on May 29. In that meeting the Prime Minister unveiled the booklet of translated version of Bangabandhu’s speech of 7th March and distributed those among the businessmen present there.

The speech of 7th March is the proof of political wisdom and prudence of Bangabandhu. To uphold the real meaning of the speech to Japanese people the booklet will be distributed in different educational institutions and important departments.

Bangabandhu's 'Unfinished Memoir' and a graphic novel 'Mujib' were also translated into Japanese as the first foreign language after English.

In November 2018, graphic novel ‘Mujib’ was launched in Tokyo by the younger daughter of Bangabandhu Sheikh Rehana and Akie Abe, the First Lady of Japan.
