Issuing alert is a practice of US: Home Minister

Home Minister Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, the security alert that the US government has issued for its citizens staying in Bangladesh, in this regard nothing has happened. It has become a practice of United States. They are not in risk in this country.

Responding to the questions of newsmen he said these after inaugurating an international training course titled ‘Transnational Crime: SAARC Perspective’ at Mirpur Police Staff College in the capital on Sunday.

Bangladesh police organized the two-week long training course. Officials ranked from Police Super are taking part in it from the SAARC affiliated countries like India, Maldives, Bhutan and Bangladesh. 14 officers from Bangladesh and 6 from the three countries are taking part in the training course. Earlier five training programs of such type were organized at Mirpur Police Staff College.

While answering to another question Asaduzzaman Khan Kamal said, 614 extremists will surrender at Shaheed Amin Uddin Stadium in Pabna on April 9. They are ashamed for their deeds. They have applied to get back on the right track.

Inspector General Police (IGP) Mohammad Javed Patwary and Home Secretary Mostafa Kamal Uddin delivered speeches in the program. The program was presided over by Rector of Police Staff College Rawshan Ara Begum.
