We will not boycott the election: Dr. Kamal

Jatiya Oikyafront convener and Gono Forum president Dr. Kamal Hossain said to BNP and other alliance members, we did mistake by boycotting the election once. We will not boycott the election again. We will fight till the end through participating election.

He said these while delivering speech as the chief guest at a grand rally of lawyers organized by Jatiya Ainjibi Oikyafront at Supreme Court Bar Association premises on Saturday.

Criticizing ruling party Awami League and the government Dr. Kamal Hossain said, we will cast our votes, we will be in the voting process even they (Awami League) would do irregularities. We all will be in vote centers. We have to boycott those people who want to do election with money.

He said, the government is violating the constitution in every moment. Where is it written that MPs are made through declaration? Most of the MPs of this government are elected without vote.

The program was presided over by Bangladesh Supreme Court Bar Association president Joynul Abedin and moderated by general secretary Barrister AM Mahbub Uddin Khokon. BNP secretary general and Jatiya Oikyafront leader Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir was the main orator in the program where pro BNP lawyers from different districts of the country delivered speeches.

BNP standing committee members Barrister Moudud Ahmed, Barrister Jamiruddin Sircar, Vice Chairmen Advocate Khondoker Mahbub Hossain, Barrister Shahjahan Omor, BNP Chairperson’s advisor Advocate Taimur Alam Khondoker, Advocate Nitai Roy Chowdhury, joint secretary general Advocate Moazzem Hossain Alal, Khaleda Zia’s lawyer Advocate Sana Ullah Mia were also present on the occasion.
