Tasneem made High Commissioner to UK

The Government has decided to appoint Saida Muna Tasneem, currently serving as the Ambassador of Bangladesh to the Kingdom of Thailand, as the new High Commissioner of Bangladesh to the United Kingdom (UK), a foreign ministry’s press release said in Dhaka on Monday. Reports BSS.

A career diplomat under BCS (Foreign Affairs) Cadre, Tasneem served in Bangladesh Permanent Mission to the UN in New York and Bangladesh High Commission in London in various capacities, it said.

At the Headquarters, she served as Director General for United Nations and External Publicity wings, the release added.

Tasneem obtained her B.Sc. (Engineering) degree from Bangladesh University of Engineering & Technology (BUET), Dhaka in 1988. She also did her M.Sc. in Public Policy and Management from School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London, says the release.

She is married and blessed with three sons, the release adds.
