Quader clears meeting with Bangabir, Oli and Selim

Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has made it clear that on which topic he had conversation with Communist Party of Bangladesh (CPB) president Mujahidul Islam Selim, Krishak Shramik Janata League president Bangabir Kader Siddique and 20-party alliance member LDP president Oli Ahmad.

Obaidul Quader acknowledged that he had discussion with Kader Siddique over alliance but the starting was with other issue.

After the courtesy call with CPB president he ensured that the eight-party alliance which was formed with left leaning parties will not go with BNP.

To Oli Ahmad he said that if he (Oli) holds any meeting-procession then he should be informed.

The Awami League general secretary ensured the 20-party alliance leader that they will get space for holding meeting-rally from now. It is the direction of the Prime Minister, he informed.

Obaidul Quader, also the Road Transport and Bridges Minister talked to the newsmen at his office at the secretariat on Sunday.

Is there any possibility to expand the alliance, replying to such a question he said, we will discuss within our range if anybody wants to come to the alliance. We will consider the matter after consultation with our alliance members.
