Five killed in Narsingdi road crash

At least five people were killed in a head on collision between a bus and a passenger laden leguna in Narsingdi. 20 more were injured in the accident. The identity of the deceased and injured could not be known immediately.

The accident took place on the Dhaka-Sylhet highway at Kundarpara area under Shibpur upazila in Narsingdi district at around 9:15 pm on Friday. Two of the victims died on the spot and more three persons died after taking to the hospital.

Additional Police Super (Administration) of Narsingdi Zakir Hossain said, a Dhaka bound passenger laden bus of Ena Paribahan from Sylhet collided with a passenger laden human hauler from Velanagar on its way to Marjal at Kundarpara area. Five including children and women were killed and 20 more injured in the accident. The injured were admitted in Narsingdi district and Sadar hospital.
