330 Myanmar security forces, others to be repatriated on Thursday: BGB

330 citizens including members of various Myanmar forces who fled to Bangladesh will be sent back to their home countries on Thursday (February 15).

The officials will be handed over under the supervision of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) to Myanmar authorities at 8 am through Naval jetty ghat in Inani of Cox's Bazar. Shariful Islam, public relations officer of Border Guard Bangladesh, confirmed the matter on Wednesday (Feb 14).

However, Myanmar government forces and the Arakan Army have been fighting on the Rakhine border for the past few days. During the conflict, about 330 members of Myanmar army, border guards, police, immigration and other officials took refuge in Bangladesh.
