CNG filling stations to remain closed from 3 pm to 9 pm in Ramadan

The government has taken the decision again to keep CNG filling stations closed from 3 pm to 9 pm everyday during Ramadan to increase power supply.

Bangladesh oil, gas and mineral corporation Petrobangla in a special revised notice informed this on Thursday.

The notice said, Petrobangla request all the CNG filling station concerned throughout the country to keep their stations closed in the mentioned time.

It also said, vigilance team will monitor the implementation activities and legal action will be taken against the violators of the decision under Bangladesh gas act- 2010.

Petrobangla authority also regrets for the inconvenience.

Earlier on May 3, State Minister for Power, Energy and Mineral Resources Nasrul Hamid Bipu in a meeting at Bidduth Bhaban said that CNG filling stations will remain closed from 5 pm to 11 pm during the month of Ramadan. The measure was taken to ensure uninterrupted power supply during Ramadan.
