PM pays homage to Bangabandhu

On the occasion of the 74th founding anniversary of the Awami League, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina pays homage to the Father of the Nation, Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

She expressed her respect by placing flowers at the sculpture of Bangabandhu in Dhanmondi 32. On Friday morning, June 23, PM Hasina offered this tribute.

She first paid homage as the Prime Minister and then as the President of the Awami League with the party's top leaders.

Awami League's General Secretary Obaidul Quader, Presidium Member Matia Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Joint General Secretary Mahbubul Alam Hanif, and AFM Bahauddin Nasim were present at that time.

After paying homage to the sculpture of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the launching ceremony of the programme was carried out by flying balloons and pigeons.

Today is the 74th founding anniversary of the Bangladesh Awami League. On this day in 1949, the historic political party was founded.
