After the 15-day visit, PM returns home from UK. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrives in the country on Tuesday morning, May 9, after completing her 15-day foreign visit to Japan, the United States and the United Kingdom.

A Biman Bangladesh Airlines flight carrying the Prime Minister and her entourage to country. They left Heathrow International Airport, London at 06.25 pm local time.

Prime Minister's speech writer Nazrul Islam confirmed the matter.

Earlier on May 4, the Prime Minister visited from Washington DC to London on the third leg of her three-nation visit to attend the coronation event of Charles III and his wife Camilla as King and Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth territories.

During her stay in the UK, Sheikh Hasina attended the inauguration programme of King Charles III and the Queen at Westminster Abbey on May 6.

In London, Sheikh Hasina exchanged views with King Charles III and held a bilateral meeting with British Prime Minister Rishi Sunak.

British Foreign Secretary James Cleverly and his wife Susanna Sparks also met the Prime Minister at Claridge's Hotel in London.
On the same day, the Prime Minister attended a dinner hosted by the Bangladesh High Commissioner to United Kingdom at Claridge's Hotel Foyer Private Dining Room.

She met there with the Bhutan King Jigme Khesar Namgyel Wangchuck and Queen Jetsun Pema.

Besides, Sheikh Hasina interacted with the President of Egypt and Rwanda, Prime Minister of Sierra Leone, Singapore, Sri Lanka, Gambia, Namibia and Uganda at the coronation programme of King Charles III.
