According to Pakistani news Media, The Express Tribune said, he donated the amount through Alkhidmat foundation Pakistan, the non-governmental organization confirmed it in a Instagram post on Saturday, October 21. The Alkhidmat Foundation Pakistan expressed their great gratitude, In that post, they said, "Deep gratitude to the esteemed Atif Aslam for his generous contribution of 15 million PKR towards essential medical and food aid for Gaza, Palestine during these trying times."

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today urged the Muslim nations to collectively stand over Palestinians cause saying since its 1971 emergence Bangladesh's stance on the issue remained very firm, as envoys of seven OIC member states here jointly made a courtesy call on her. "Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman supported Palestine and I also have been standing beside the Palestinians," Prime Minister's speech writer Md Nazrul Islam quoted her as saying in a media briefing after the meeting at the PMO. She added, "Muslim Ummah should collectively stand by the Palestinians". The seven emissaries are Algerian Ambassador Rabah Larbi, Malaysian High Commissioner Haznah Md Hashim, Maldivian High Commissioner Shiruzimath Sameer, Oman's Ambassador Abdul Ghaffar Bin Abdul Karim Al-Bulushi, Palestinian Ambassador Yousef SY Ramadan, Saudi Arabian Ambassador Essa Yousef Essa Alduhailan and UAE Ambassador Abdullah Ali Abdullah Khaseif Alhmoudi. The PMO spokesman said the envoys of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) member countries highly appreciated Sheikh Hasina's leadership for the last 14-year yielding Bangladesh's development and stability, particularly tackling the Covid-19 pandemic successfully. According to the Nazrul Islam, the emissaries expected that Bangladesh would stay well and remain happy under her leadership and conveyed her that the Muslim Ummah was also happy and proud of her.   They also expressed hope that the progress of Bangladesh would continue under the leadership of Sheikh Hasina and wished her success in the next general election. Around seven million Bangladeshis are currently working in the Middle Eastern countries, also OIC members, while the envoys said they were contributing a lot to those economies. The prime minister said a neutral election commission was constituted through enactment of a new law and added that the election scheduled for January 2024 would be fair. Sheikh Hasina said if the people vote for her, she would come in power again and "otherwise not as I believe in the power of the people". She has been working not for herself rather for the country and its people, the prime minister said, adding that her goal is to make the socio-economic development of the countrymen. The premier said the government is working to ensure houses for all homeless and landless people. "Now in the final phase, some 40,000 houses are being constructed. Nobody will remain homeless and landless after distribution of these abodes," she added. Palestine have become unbeaten champion in Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football tournament. The Middle East team has retained the title for second consecutive term after beating Burundi by 3-1 goals. Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina enjoyed the game at Bangabandhu national stadium on Saturday. The host Bangladesh were out from the semifinal in the special tournament arranged on the occasion of birth centenary of father of the nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. In the second minute of the match Khaled Salem started the goal festival for Palestine. On the 10th minute Palestine captain Sameh Maraba made the difference double. The champion of the previous tournament went to the interval with 3-0 lead when Layeth Kharoub scored his goal through a rebound shot. On the other hand Burundi tried their best to score goal for their come back in the match. But all the attacks lost pace in the Palestine defense. In the second half the African country intensified their attacking football. In the 60th minute Burundi scored a goal with help of Dikumana Azman. But in the rest of the time both the teams failed to score more. After the match Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina handed over the trophy to the winners. The daughter of Bangabandhu at that time thanked all for successfully organizing the tournament. AH   

Palestine has decided to name a road in Hebron after Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Palestinian Foreign Minister Riyad Al Malki said this when he called on Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at the bilateral booth of Baku Congress Center on the sidelines of the 18th NAM Summit in Baku on Saturday. He also invited Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina to formally unveil the name plaque of the road. Foreign Secretary Md Shahidul Haque briefed reporters after the meeting. PM’s press secretary Ihsanul Karim was present. The Foreign Secretary said the Palestinian Foreign Minister requested the Prime Minister to boost the trade and commerce between the two countries. Palestine for the first time clinched the title of Bangabandhu Gold Cup International Football Tournament denying Tajikistan with a one goal in a penalty shootout after a goalless play in the stipulated and extra time at Bangabandhu National Stadium on Friday. In the penalty shootout Zorrilla, Iwisat, Al Battat and Al Bahdari converted their shots correctly for Palestine to clinch the 5th edition title of the six-nation tournament. Abdugaforov, Nazarov and Asrorov were successful for Tajikistan while Tursunov and Davlatmir miss fired one shot each. Palestine reached the final eliminating hosts Bangladesh by 2-0 goals in the hard fought second semifinal at the Birshrestha Ruhul Amin Stadium in Cox’s Bazar while Tajikistan made final berth eliminating the Philippines also by 2-0 goals in the first semifinal at the same venue. In the group stage, both Palestine and Philippines emerged their respective groups’ champions with all-win records. Palestine defeated Tajikistan 2-0 and holders Nepal 1-0 goals in their Group ‘A’ encounters. Philippines beat Laos 3-1 and Bangladesh 1-0 in their Group ‘B’ matches. Foreign Minister A H Mahmud Ali has urged OIC to find an alternative multi-power multi-stake holder platform to push and take forward the peace process to a meaningful end regarding Palestine crisis.  "OIC needs a solid and determined strategy. We should continue to mobilize international pressure on Israel for halting and reversing its policies and practices," he said while addressing the 7th extraordinary OIC summit on Palestine in Istanbul, Turkey on Friday, according to a message received in Dhaka on Saturday. Reports BSS.  The foreign minister said OIC must move all important international fora including the UN and its different organizations-political, security and legal in function. "OIC should direct its efforts in all licit avenues and channels," he said.  The summit has been convened by President of Turkey Recep Tayyip Erdogan in his capacity as Chair of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC) Summit. Ali said the impunity demonstrated by Israel and the disregard shown by the US Administration to international norm and laws have outraged the people of Bangladesh.  He said Bangladesh is deeply concerned at these ominous developments of Israeli illegal colonial abuses and this latest "massacre" of unarmed civilians including children are crimes against humanity.  "We strongly condemn the Israeli savagery and culture of international impunity. We deplore and reject the US action. I bring with me and convey Honorable Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina's condolences and deepest sympathy for the bereaved," Ali said.  He said Bangladesh is concerned at the US action of the opening of the Embassy which is in clear violation of international law including several UN Security Council resolutions. This is alarmingly emboldening Israel to illegally impose its control over the holy city of Al Quds and advance its design to change its historical and legal status, its demographic structure and historic Arab-Islamic character, the minister observed.  "We cannot remain as bystanders and see this happening to the city of their first Qibla, the third holiest shrine, and the permanent seat of OIC Headquarters. We must reject any attempts to bring change in the status quo in the occupied Jerusalem," Ali said.  Bangladesh reaffirms its unswerving position in favor of establishing the State of Palestine on the basis of pre-67 borders with East Jerusalem-Al Quds as its capital, he said.
