There is no opportunity to send Khaleda Zia abroad: Law Minister
Law Minister Anisul Haque said that the work of installing a pacemaker in the heart of BNP Chairperson Begum Khaleda Zia is underway.
He said this in response to questions from journalists after inaugurating a training workshop for judges at the Institute of Judicial Administration in the capital on Sunday (June 23).
Anisul Haque said, as far as I got the information, the process of installing the pacemaker of Khaleda Zia's heart has started this morning. The Prime Minister has seen the issue from a humanitarian perspective. So Khaleda Zia's sentence has been suspended and she has been released.
In response to a question, the Law Minister said, 'I have not received any new application for BNP chairperson Khaleda Zia, who is undergoing treatment in the hospital, to be treated abroad. However, there is no opportunity to send Khaleda Zia abroad in the executive order.'
