PM reaches in Johannesburg to attend 15th BRICS summit

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina arrived in Johannesburg to attend the 15th BRICS Summit which will be held on August 22-24 after South African President Cyril Ramaphosato invited her.

An Emirates Airlines carrying PM and her suite landed at 8:35pm (South Africa local time) in the OR Tambo International Airport, Johannesburg, South Africa.

Minister of Cooperative Governance and Traditional Affairs of Republic of South Africa Parks Tau and Bangladesh High Commissioner to South Africa Noor-E Helal Saifur Rahman welcomed PM at the airport.

Then she went the Palace of Residence, the Radission Blu Hotel Sandton.

On August 22, the flight took off from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport (HSIA) at 10:30am (Bangladesh time).

South Africa is hosting the historic 15th summit of BRICS nations -- Brazil, Russia, India, China and South Africa.

On August 23, the prime minister is expected to deliver a speech as the chief guest at the "Bangladesh Trade and Business Summit", jointly organized by Bangladesh Securities and Exchange Commission (BSEC) and Bangladesh Investment Development Authority (BIDA). BSS Reports.
