Rtv gets right to telecast Bangamata U-19 women’s int’l gold cup

Bengal Multimedia Limited (Rtv) has got the right for live telecast of Bangamata Under-19 Women’s International Gold Cup for the year 2019. In this regard an agreement was signed with tournament proprietor ‘K-Sports’ on Tuesday.

Chief Executive Officer of Rtv Syed Ashik Rahman and Chief Executive Officer of K-Sports Fahad MA Karim signed the agreement on behalf of their respective organization at Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) Bhaban.

Planning Minister MA Mannan was present in the program as the chief guest. BFF president Kazi Salahuddin, BFF senior vice president Abdus Salam Murshedi, BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag and BFF women wing chairperson Mahfuza Akter Kiron among others were present on the occasion.

At that time Rtv program head Dewan Shamsur Rakib, program department assistant general manager Syed Sabab Ali Arzu, sales and marketing department assistant general manager Mozammel Hossain, Rtv’s digital and social media manager Muhammad Abu Nasim and deputy chief news editor of Rtv online Abdul Hakim Chowdhury were also present.

K-Sports has become the proprietor of the Bangamata under-19 women’s tournament after Bangabandhu gold cup international football tournament.

In October last year the organization got the right of Bangabandhu gold cup fifth competition. In this continuation the highest authority of football in Bangladesh handed over the right of Bangamata international football tournament to the organization scheduled to be held in April.

K-Sports emerged as the sponsor of football in the country from last year. They have become interested to remain in the first women’s international tournament after getting required media coverage during Bangabandhu gold cup tournament.

To avail the opportunity BFF also signed an agreement with the organization at the beginning of the year. In the agreement signing ceremony K-Sports Chief Executive Officer Fahad Karim said, we will not do any disparity regarding the quality. We will try our best so that from television broadcasting to other matters all should be highest quality.

Chief Executive Officer of Rtv Syed Ashik Rahman said, I am very delighted to be part of this initiative, to get the responsibility of broadcasting. The tournament named after Bangamata is a big plan for taking women advance and women empowerment and we are going to be successful. I express my gratitude to Fahad bhai on behalf of Rtv. He invited us and for that we have been able to part of this.

Syed Ashik Rahman said, not only in the country, we will broadcast the tournament out of the country. The new generation will watch it and they will be inspired as we hope.

The Rtv CEO also informed that as well as broadcasting the match a number of web series will be telecasted. He said, campaign will be made in social media along with television for women empowerment. Under digital platform total nine web series will be made. The name of the campaign is ‘Egiye jawar nei mana’.

He said, we broadcast many things over different matters like the country, liberation war spirit, independence and cultural activities of people of Bangladesh. We are specially working for development of sports. We want to uphold the triumph of country’s women. After overcoming the boundary of Asia our women will get the desired win in other major tournaments of the world. Therefore, this introduction.

K-Sports CEO Fahad Karim said, you know, we tried our best for broadcasting the Bangabandhu gold cup tournament. In this continuation the agreement was signed with Rtv for the Bangamata under-19 women tournament. We are not taking it lightly as it is a tournament of under-19. Insha Allah the best technology will be used. We know that Rtv is a very popular television channel. They have strong satellite network. They are well known in the social media. We express earnest thanks to Rtv authority for joining with us. We hope that the tournament will get huge response in the world.

BFF has planned to start the tournament from April and six countries have expressed their interest to participate in it. But we have to wait till next month to know the names of those countries. BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Sohag said that details of the tournament will be informed on March 12 on a big occasion.
