RTV District Correspondent Conference was held on Saturday, August 26 at Bengal Multimedia Studio. 15 correspondents are honored in various categories.  In that conference, Syed Ashik Rahman, the Chief Executive Officer of RTV said, "If you have interest and willpower, then nothing is impossible in this world. The arrangement is to encourage you with the proper use of technology to keep pace with the world. The program is arrenged to encourage you all to keep pace with the world With proper use of technology."     Authority of RTV urged the correspondents to be more responsible and attentive in delivering the news. However, the representatives demanded to organize such conference every year. RTV senior sub-editor Abul Hasan's son Tashfin Ahnaf died on Friday. He was 6.  First, he was admitted to a local hospital in Narayanganj. As his condition did not improve, he was admitted to Dhaka Medical College Hospital last Thursday (July 13).  The relatives of the deceased said that Tashfin Ahnaf's blood platelets were suddenly decreasing. After that, he was taken to the ICU. Then, the doctor declared him dead around 4 pm. Managing Director (MD) of RTV, Humayun Kabir Bablu expressed his deep grief over Tashfin Ahnaf's death. He said, "I can't believe it. I don't know what to say right now. I am very sorry to hear about this. Asking Allah for forgiveness of the departed soul. My prayers and condolences for the family of Abul Hasan in this difficult time." Then, He asked to all to give the importance to this situation . Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of RTV, Syed Ashik Rahman said, "This is unbearably heartbreaking news. It is very difficult to express my grief over this incident, as I myself am a father of a child of about the same age. May Allah grant Abul Hasan's family Tawfik to bear this irreparable loss and difficult times. I pray for his child's forgiveness. Of course his angelic little baby will always have my prayers."  

A human chain organized by journalists at Karwan bazar roundabout on Friday in protest of a Digital Security Act (DSA) case filed against RTV journalist Yeasmein Akter Adhora for her report on "misdeed of a syndicate of Pirs". On May 13, One Shakerul Kabir filed the case in Chattogram court against the RTV reporter and another one. The incident revealed after Rafiqul Islam, the investigating officer of the case informed RTV On July 10. In that protest, the journalist leaders demanded the withdrawal of the case against Adhora. They also demanded the repeal of the Digital Security Act (DSA). The law is being used to harass journalists and suppress freedom of expression. They also urged to take action against the "pir syndicate" instead of harassing journalists for unearthing crimes. Leaders of Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association including Dhaka Journalists Union, Dhaka Reporters Unity, ACC Beat journalists' organization RACK participated in the hour-long protest. Sohel Haider Chowdhury, president of the Dhaka Union of Journalists (DUJ) expressed frustration and dissatisfaction over filing the case against journalists under DSA. He said, "We hope Yeasmein Akter Adhora's case will be withdrawn, or the home ministry will issue a statement declaring it null and void," he demanded. Akter Hossain, General Secretary of DUJ and News Editor of RTV, said, "After the case, now they are giving various threats and even death threats. Just as the young journalist tries to unmask the land grabbers, the Rajarbagh land grabbers come after him with a case against him." Dhaka Reporters Unity (DRU) President Morsalin Nomani, DRU former general secretary Syed Shukur Ali Shuvo, Nurul Islam Hasib, Former Joint General Secretary Shahnaz Sharmin, Jamiul Ahsan Sipu, Reporters Against Corruption (RAC) General Secretary Jameson Mahbub, Former Executive Member of Dhaka Journalist Union Golam Mujtaba Dhrubo, Former President of Sub-Editors Council Nasima Akhter Soma, Publicity Secretary of Bangladesh Crime Reporters Association SM Faiz, former women affairs editor of Dhaka Reporter Unity Taapsee Rabeya Ankhi, former executive member Hasan Jabed, RTV assistant news editor Saikhul Islam Ujjal and others spoke in the programme. Journalist communities have long been demanding repeal of the law, saying it has been curbing the freedom of press and freedom of expression.

RTV staff reporter Yeasmein Akter (Adhora) has been charged under the Digital Security Act (DSA) for publishing news about the misdeed of the 'Pir' Syndicate in the capital's Rajarbagh. On Saturday, May 13, 2023, Shakerul Kabir, one of the key figure of the 'Pir' Syndicate, sued the case against Yeasmein Akter (Adhora) at the Chattogram Cyber Tribunal. On Monday, July 10, Md. Rafiqul Islam, the investigating officer of this case, informed RTV through submitting a letter. It is known that RTV reporter Yeasmein Akter reported against Rajarbagh Darbar Shareef pir Dillur Rahman and his syndicate on various allegations including extortion, harassing to numerous people across the country, land grabbing, and various other crimes.  For this reason, Shakerul Kabir has been filed a case against RTV reporter Yeasmein Akter under section 24, 25, and 29 of the Digital Security Act 2018. Shakerul Kabir, a key accomplice of 'Pir' Dillur Rahman and a plaintiff in this case, has been accused of extortion, land grabbing, and violence against women. He has faced arrest multiple times and has been sent to jail. Earlier, when news was published against this Pir Syndicate, several journalists were allegedly harassed by Shakerul Kabir. These evidence have also been found in the investigation by the Criminal Investigation Department (CID).  Basically, journalists have reported news based on various court orders, the National Human Rights Commission, and the CID's investigations.  Meanwhile, journalists' organizations have strongly condemned and protested against the incident in the case of the Digital Security Act. They have demanded immediate action against this false case.

November 20 to December 18, FIFA World Cup-2022 ( the 22nd edition) was held in Qatar. Like the whole world, Bangladeshi football fans were also in madness. So, RTV, country's one of the popular private television channel, arranged a quiz competition throughout the month.
