6 women got the 'Joya Alokito Nari' award-2023
On March 6, 2023, the 9th edition of the RTV 'Joya Alokito Nari' award-2023' programme was held at the Pan Pacific Sonargaon in Dhaka, under the title 'Pichiye Thakbona'.  Six women were honored with this award for delivering their special contribution in various field to society. Freedom Fighter Commander Ashalata Baidya, Music personality Rezwana Choudhury Bannya, Scientist Professor Haseena Khan, Social worker Shefali Begum, Women Entrepreneur Taslima Miji, and Badminton player Alina Sultana got this award.  To protect women's health, the 'Joya sanitary napkin' product at reasonable price also launched in this event.  Begum Matia Chowdhury MP, the deputy Leader of the national parliament, said, "This event organized by RTV   is appreciable. Although many have organized similar events, the RTV event was exceptional. In advancing society and family, women's contribution is immense. If the society and the people appreciate women's contribution, then both the family and society will benefit largely. Mr. Farhad Hossain MP, the State Minister of Public Administration, stated, "The current government is working extensively to awaken women, empower them, and create a favorable work environment." Alhaj Morshed Alam MP, the Chairman of RTV, said, "Women's participation is inevitable to establish the Bangabandhu's dream of a Golden Bangladesh as half of the country's population is female. RTV always inspires society to advance through various programmes. I believe it will inspire the women even more and motivate others to do so. Humayun Kabir Bablu, the Managing Director of RTV, said, "Women in Bangladesh have made significant contributions in the fields of the country's Liberation War, politics, economics, education, sports, and all other areas. Women are advancing in every sector. We consider ourselves fortunate to honor these women. Mr. Toslim Uddin Khan, the Managing Director and CEO of SMC, said, "In Bangladesh, SMC has been working with women and children for the past 50 years. The success achieved by SMC in health services is phenomenal. However, Bangladesh still lags behind in some areas of women's and children's healthcare. We are working on it to fix these issues.
