A drug addict youth has sporadically hacked at least five persons at Akbarshah area in Chattogram. A woman named Sandha Rani was killed in the incident. The other four people were seriously injured. Police have detained the youth named Satyajith in connection with the incident. The incident took place at around 7:45 pm on Friday at Uttar Kattali Barakali Bari area under Akbar Shah police station. The deceased Sandha Rani was wife of late Dhirendra Chandra in the area. The injured are- Shanti Nandi, Dipak Dutt, Tinku Dutt, and Prabir Talukder. Confirming the incident Officer in Charge of Akbarshah police station Md. Jasim Uddin said, Satyajith has a pharmacy in the area. After taking excess of liquor and being out of control he sporadically hacked five persons with a sharp weapon. Critically injured Sandha Rani was taken to the hospital but the duty physicians declared her dead. The rest four were admitted to hospital. AH

His id is- https://www.facebook.com/ashik.rahman.0097 He is at present available in United States of America. His verified facebook id was hacked on Saturday (April 13) in the afternoon local time. Expressing anger from there he said, such verified facebook id is hacked again? It is very sad. Some miscreants who want to hurt personal dignity have hacked the facebook id. I am seeking attention of concerned personnel to take necessary action under Information and Communication Technology act. For this reason he requested all for not sharing any information and for not doing any financial transaction after getting phone call or message from this id. After the incident, on the following day (April 14) a General Diary (GD) was filed with Tejgaon police station, GD number-748. Miscreants hacked a ward councilor to death named Jamirul Islam of Gopalpur municipality under Lalpur upazla in Natore district. The body was kept at Lalpur upazila health complex. He was hacked to death on the road in front of his home at Biropar on Sunday afternoon. Officer in Charge of Lalpur police station Nazrul Islam Jewel confirmed the news to Rtv online. He said, Jamirul was going to the nearby mosque to say his Johr prayers after emerging from his home. At that time a group of miscreants hacked him sporadically and left the place. Then the locals rescued Jamirul and took him to the health complex where the on duty physician declared him dead. Drives are underway to find out the reason and detain the miscreants involved in the killing. AH       

A Swechchasebak League leader was hacked to death allegedly by his rival men in Chattogram's Patiya upazila on Monday night. The deceased, Jamal Uddin Akbar, was the president of Kolagaon union unit of Swechchasebak League, the pro-Awami League body. Chittagong Medical College Hospital (CMCH) police outpost ASI Alauddin Talukder told Rtv Online that Jamal was returning home from a relative house around 8pm. When he reached Kolagaon Teck area, he engaged in altercation with his rival men. At one stage, they chopped him indiscriminately, leaving him critically injured, he added. Jamal was rushed to Chittagong Medical College Hospital where doctors declared him dead. His body was kept at CMCH morgue for autopsy. Locals said that there was a long standing conflict between two groups of Awami League over setting up a power plant in Patiya. In a sequel to the conflict, Jamal might be killed, they added.

Private television channel RTV's Chief Executive officer (CEO) and Chief Editor of RTV online Syed Ashik Rahman's verified Facebook account was hacked. His Id is https://www.facebook.com/ashik.rahman.0097 Currently he is in China. Today on Wednesday(19 September) in the afternoon local time his verified ID was hacked. From there he said, it is  very sad that a verified facebook ID was hacked. Since being hacked, I am getting calls from everyone. He requested everyone not to share any information and make financial transaction, if get a call or message from his ID. He went to China on a government invitation and leading a 15-member team of journalists. The delegation team left for China on Wednesday (12 September) at 12.50 am. They will visit various media outlet and business establishment on a 10-day visit. The team is scheduled to return to Dhaka on September 22. A/J

A Union Parishad (UP) chairman was hacked and shot dead by miscreants at Raipura upazila in Narsingdi district. The incident took place at Alinagar Arakanda area in the upazila on Thursday afternoon. The name of the deceased is Sirajul Haque. He was the UP chairman and local union unit Awami League president of Banshgari union. According to the locals, police said, Sirajul Haque was returning to his Banshgari home after completing the disaster management committee meeting in the upazila boarded on a motorcycle. When the motorcycle reached at the Alinagar Arakanda area the miscreants stopped him. They beat the motorcycle driver away. Later they shot and hacked Sirajul and left him in a nearby water body. He was admitted to the Raipura upazila health complex under critical condition. He died on the way to Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Physician of Raipura upazila health complex Rezaul Islam Khan said, there were wounds of bullet in the neck and chops of sharp weapon in different parts of Sirajul’s body. He was shifted to Dhaka medical due to excessive bleeding. Officer in Charge of Raipura police station Delwar Hossain told Rtv online that there was feud between two rival groups for establishing supremacy in Banshgari union. The incident may be a result of that. UNO of Raipura upazila Shafiqul Islam said that Upazila chairman and ASP of Raipura-Belabo circle visited the spot. Meanwhile, tension is prevailing in the area following the killing. AH
