The classes of the eleventh grade students will begin from October 4. Decision has been taken to hold the classes through online as educational institutions are closed due to coronavirus situation. In this regard the education boards have issued letters to the colleges to take necessary preparations for taking online classes from October 4. In this connection a letter signed by Dhaka secondary and higher secondary education board Chairman and also the Chairman of inter education board coordination subcommittee Professor M Ziaul Haque said, classes cannot be taken in the classrooms due to Covid-19 situation. There it was also said, decision has been taken to hold the classes through online for the students who were admitted in eleventh grade for the 2020-21 session from October 4. In this regard concerned all were asked to take necessary steps. Meanwhile, in a notice it was said, Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni will inaugurate the online class on next Sunday (October 4) as the chief guest. The program will be organized at Dhaka College premises where Deputy Minister for education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury is going to be present as special guest. The online admission activities started on August 9 last. Usually the classes for the eleventh graders start on July 1 every year but due to coronavirus situation in the country the starting of the admission and classes were delayed. AH

This year the annual results of the students of 8th grade will be based on the evaluation of their respective educational institutions. The information came through a press release of the Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board of Dhaka. The decision came following the government’s move to cancel this year’s JSC and JDC examinations due to the ongoing coronavirus pandemic situation in the country. The press release said that the educational institutions will be provided instruction to this end soon. AH

Eleventh grade admission process from the students who have passed SSC and equivalent examinations will begin from Sunday. Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury will inaugurate the eleventh grade admission process through online at Dhaka education board auditorium at 12 pm on Sunday. Chairman of inter education board coordination sub-committee and Dhaka education board Chairman M. Ziaul Haque has informed that after the inauguration the students can apply for admission through online and SMS. The application submission through online and SMS will begin from May 12 and will continue till May 23. Those who applied for reexamination are also asked to apply in the same time. The admission process will have to be concluded by June and the classes will begin from July 1. Appeals of the students for scrutinize and objection will be solved from May 24 to 26. The students whose results will be changed after reexaminations can apply from June 3 to 4. According to the policy- those who have passed SSC and equivalent examinations under eight education boards, madrasa and technical boards in 2017, 2018 and 2019 can be admitted in eleventh grade. This year the age limit is fixed 22 years for the admission seekers instead of passing years under the Open University. Admission seekers can also apply for admission through SMS from Tele Talk mobile phone as well as online (www. Xiclassadmission. gov.bd). First phase merit list will be published on June 10. Candidates of this phase have to ensure about their admission through SMS in selected colleges from June 11 to 18. The second phase results will be published on June 21 and the third phase will be on June 25. The students selected in the second phase will have to ensure selection from June 22-23 and the third phase selected candidates have to ensure selection on June 26. After completion of admission process from June 27 to 30 the classes will begin from July 1. AH
