The form fill up process for the SSC examinees has been suspended due to coronavirus situation in the country. It was known from the inter education coordination board that the tenure of form fill up might be extended without charging late fee. The form fill up process began on April 1 and was scheduled to complete by April 7. As the government announced countrywide lockdown so the form fill up process has been suspended. Chairman of inter-education coordination board and Dhaka education board chairman Professor Nehal Ahmed said, the ongoing form fill up has been suspended due to lockdown. Coronavirus pandemic is a national problem and after completion of lockdown the time for form fill up will be extended. The candidates will be able to fill up their forms without late fee. About extending time he said, most of the forms have been filled up. But those who could not complete will be given 4 to 5 days time to fill up the forms without late fee. As the routine for SSC examination is not finalized yet, so the time may be extended. AH    

Filling up of forms to appear in the SSC examination will begin from April 1, 2021. Students can apply through online till April 7. In this year no test examination will be held like other years. The information was confirmed through a press release of Dhaka education board on Sunday. The release said, forms will be filled up abiding by the health protocols due to world wide Covid-19 pandemic. The list of the probable students will be published on the education board website. Students can fill up their forms through online without late fee from April 1 to 7. Aftermath they have to pay late fee for filling the forms. Students can fill up their forms by paying late fee from April 10 to 13. AH

The executive body of National Environment Committee has discouraged filling up of ponds, waterbodies, canals, artificial or natural water reservoirs and changing classification of land. The committee also has taken decision for obtaining permission of Directorate of Environment (DoE) to fill-up land needed for national interest. The decision was taken at the 15th meeting of executive body of National Environment Committee at secretariat on Thursday. After the meeting Minister for Environment, Forest and Climate Change Md. Shahab Uddin delivered the information. It was also decided in the meeting that waterbodies and ponds under different ministries, departments and organizations have to be preserved on a mandatory basis and fill-up activities will not be included in the development planning. Bangladesh and Myanmar on Friday agreed that Rohingyas residing in Cox’s Bazar themselves will fill up the verification forms for their early repatriation. As per the decision, the verification forms will be distributed among them and they will fill those up, according to the Ministry of the Office of the State Counselor, Myanmar. Signatures, finger-prints, and photo IDs are to be completed when filling the forms to indicate voluntary return and assist with Myanmar’s verification process. Bangladesh and Myanmar agreed that there should be early repatriation of Rohingyas who fled to Cox’s Bazar amid military crackdowns in Rakhine State.  Bangladesh has agreed to revise the language used in the ID cards being issued to those who are currently residing in Cox’s Bazar, Myanmar side claimed. They, in a ministerial meeting between Bangladesh and Myanmar held at Nay Pyi Taw, agreed that repatriation will be in a voluntary, safe and dignified manner.       In this regard, a hotline has been established between the ministers to facilitate ease of discussions. The meeting was chaired by Foreign Minister AH Mahmood Ali and Myanmar’s Union Minister of the Ministry of the Office of the State Counselor Kyaw Tint Swe. Union Ministers Thein Swe and Dr Win Myat Aye, officials concerned and delegates from both sides participated in the meeting.  The meeting discussed the implementation of the bilateral agreement, the ‘Arrangement on Return of Displaced Persons from Rakhine State’ signed between the governments of Myanmar and Bangladesh in November 2017.  As agreed in the arrangement, Myanmar has built two reception centers and one transit camp. Bangladesh has confirmed progress on the five transit camps; one is complete, another under construction, and remaining three to be built.  Both parties agreed to intensify cooperation on counter-terrorism and the fight against drug trafficking through exchange of intelligence, closer cooperation between the border-guard officials and conducting enhanced coordinated border patrols. They also agreed to cooperate on the issue of repatriation of Rohingyas currently residing along the international border between Myanmar and Bangladesh, in particular the area between the international border and the fence erected on Myanmar’s territory in an expeditious manner. It was also agreed that any humanitarian aid given to those inhabiting the area on Myanmar’s territory should be given by the aid agencies from Myanmar side. They also agree to conduct a joint inspection of the boundary line between the boundary pillars BP34 and BP 35. Both ministers reiterated their commitment for closer consultation in resolving the issue of displaced persons from Rakhine State in the spirit of good neighborliness.  They also agreed to promote closer economic and trade relations of the interest of both the countries. Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has inaugurated Help Line to help and provide technical suggestions to the examinees for filling up forms for 39th BCS (Special) examination. PSC’s Controller of Examination (Cadre) A I M Nesar Uddin delivered the information. The willing BCS examination candidates can get help from the following four numbers: 01555555149, 01555555150, 01555555151 and 01555555152. The numbers will be active fro 10 am to 1 pm and from 2 pm to 5 pm on every working days. The form submission has begun on online for this special BCS from April 10. Candidates can fill up their forms till 6 pm on April 30. Around five thousand physicians will be appointed through this special BCS examination. AH
