The Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations of 2024 will begin on February 15. Dhaka Secondary and Higher Secondary Education Board Chairman Prof Tapan Kumar Sarkar confirmed the matter on Thursday. The schedule of the examinations will be published on the website, he said. Earlier in August, Education Minister Dipu Moni announced that the SSC and equivalent exams of 2024 will be held in February while the HSC and equivalent exams in April. For the past several years, the authorities concerned had to rearrange the academic calendar due to the Covid-19 pandemic and natural disaster, but it will be fully set from the next year, she said.  

Due to flash flooding, postponed of 3 boards HSC and Equivalent examination has been started from today.  On Sunday at 10 am in the morning, the exam have been started.  The postponed 3 boards are-Chattogram Education Board, Bangladesh Madrasa Education Board, Technical Education Board. earlier on August 17, examinations of 8 boards-Dhaka, Mymensingh, Barishal, Cumilla, Rajshahi, Jashore, Sylhet and Dinajpur have started. In that time, education Minister Dipu Moni said the results of all boards will be published together.  

The results of Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent exams were published on July 28, where the overall pass rate is 80.39 percent which is 7.05 percentage point lower than last year’s.   Last year, 87.44 percent students passed the SSC and equivalent exams.   Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni and Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury formally handed over the SSC results of 2023 to Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence Ganobhaban here this morning.   A total of 20 lakh 41 thousand 450 students participated in the exams. Of them, 16 lakh 41 thousand 140 students have passed.  Of the successful students, 7 lakh 96 thousand 404 are male and 8 lakh 44 thousand 736 are female.   This year, 1,83,578 students got the GPA-5. Of  them, 84,964 are male and 98,614 are female students.   In the nine general education boards, some 13,22,446 students passed out of  16,33,919 - where some 6,16,071 are male and some 7,06375 are females.    A total of 1,59,220 students got the highest Grade Point Average (GPA-5) in the SSC exams.   In the Madrasah Education Board, a total of 2,12,964students - 1,00,950 male and 1,12,014 female - passed out of 2,85,087 students. Of them, some 6213 students got GPA-5.   In the Technical Education Board, 1,05,730 students – 79,383 male and 26,347 female – passed out of total1,22,444 students. Of them, 18,145 students got the GPA-5.    The pass rates in different education boards of the country are: 77.50 percent in Dhaka Board, 90.1 percent in Barishal Board, 78.3 percent in Chattogram Board, 78.4 in Cumilla Board, 76.8 percent in Dinajpur Board, 86.2 percent in Jashore Board, 87.9 percent in Rajshahi Board, 76.1 percent in Sylhet Board, 85 percent in Mymensingh Board, 83.4 percent in the Technical Education Board, and 74.7 percent in the Madrasah Board.    A total of 375 students appeared in the exams through the exam centers abroad and of them, 320 students have passed.    Meanwhile, Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni held a press briefing on the SSC and equivalents exams results at 11am at the International Mother Language Institute here. “We are pledge-bound to build a smart Bangladesh. The results have been published in a total paperless system,” said the education minister in her speech at the press briefing, adding the candidates will get their results directly on the mobile phones.   Deputy Minister for Education Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, senior secretary of Technical and Madrasah Education Department M Kamal Hossain, Higher Secondary Education Secretary Suleman Khan and Chairmen of all education boards, among others, were present at the briefing.   Students of 29,798 institutions under 11 education boards, including nine general education boards, took part in this year's examination at 3,810 centers.

The Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) examination-2023 routine has been published. Under the supervision of nine general education boards the examination will commence on August 17 and will end on September 25.  Practical examination will hold between September 26 to October 4. On Thursday, June 08, the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, Dhaka has announced the examinations schedule. According to the notice issued by the Inter Education Board Examination Controller and Dhaka Education Board Examination Controller, Professor Md Abul Bashar, "The examinees have been asked to pass into the exam hall at least 30 minutes before the start of the examination.  Candidates will be allowed to use a scientific calculator. However, the use of programming calculator will be prohibited.  No candidate will be allowed to bring a mobile phone to examination center."

National University has postponed all the scheduled examinations on Sunday, May 14.  On Friday, May 12, this information was informed through a press release sent by National University public relations office. According to the press release, all the the National University examinations on Sunday, May 14 have been postponed due to adverse weather conditions. Earlier, Sunday's scheduled SSC and equivalent exams of five education boards: Chattogram, Barisal, Cumilla, Madrasa and Technical Education were postponed due to Cyclone Mocha. 

Tapan Kumar Sarkar, the exam controller at the Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education, said, "The decision to suspend the ongoing SSC and equivalent examinations due to Cyclone Mocha will be taken after monitoring the situation.  On Thursday, May 11, he gave this information. Mr. Tapan Kumar said, "We are monitoring the situation. After understanding the situation, we will take our decision.  If the situation worsen, the examination will be suspended only in the coastal area whether the examination will be suspended across the country."

The SSC and equivalent exam will start from April 30 this year. On this occasion government took some preparations. Initiatives have also been taken to keep the exam environment fair and free.  For this, all coaching centers have been ordered to be closed from April 26 to May 23. It is known that the total number of candidates for this year's exam are 20 lakh 72 thousand 163. Among them, 10 lakh 21 thousand 197 male students and 10 lakh 50 thousand 966 female students. The number of candidates in total 9 general education boards are 16 lakh 49 thousand 275 people. Among them, 7 lakh 79 thousand 870 male students and 8 lakh 69 thousand 405 female students. Two lakh 95 thousand 121 candidates will participate under Madrasa Education Board. Among them, 1 lakh 43 thousand 993 male students and 1 lakh 51 thousand 128 female students. On Tuesday, April 25, in the afternoon at the International Mother Language Institute, the Minister of Education Dipu Moni pronounced the matter.  To keep the SSC and equivalent exams fair and free, she announced the closure of all coaching centers from April 26 to May 23.

This year's Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examination will begin on April 30.  On Sunday, January 30, Dhaka Education Board officials and inter-education board sources confirmed this matter. According to the Ministry of Education, this exam will be held on the revised syllabus due to Corona.

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said the Secondary School Certificate (SSC), Dakhil and SSC/Dakhil (Vocational) exams will start on September 15 next.   "The examinations were scheduled to be held on June 19. But it was postponed due to devastating flood in Sylhet, Mymensingh and northern areas of the country. Now it will begin on September 15," she said. The minister was addressing a press meet at her ministry in secretariat in Dhaka. While replying to the queries of the newsmen, she said, "In future, exams will be postponed in only those specific regions to be affected by natural calamities, and exams in the remaining areas will take place accordingly." Due to the global pandemic, the marks and time of the exams were reduced by the government. "The exam will be held on a restructured short syllabus and its schedule has also been changed... Now it will be held at 11am instead of 10am," the minister said. This year, 20, 21,868 candidates of 29,591 institutions under nine general boards, madrasha and technical education boards will appear in SSC and equivalents examinations at a total 3,790 centres across the country. A number of 15, 99,711 candidates will take part in the SSC exam under nine general boards while 2, 68,495 will sit for Dakhil and 1, 53,662 for vocational examinations. Source: BSS AH

Education Minister Dr Dipu Moni today said this year's postponed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin across the country on September 15. “This year's postponed Secondary School Certificate (SSC) and equivalent examinations will begin on September 15 while the Higher Secondary Certificate (HSC) and equivalent examinations will begin in November,” she said. The minister disclosed the matter at a press conference held at the conference room of the Ministry of Education in the capital. The SSC and equivalent examinations were scheduled to start from June 19 last. However, the Ministry of Education announced the suspension of the SSC and equivalent examinations on June 17 due to severe flood-situation that prevailed in various parts of the country including Sylhet and Sunamganj.
