HSC examinees to get partial money back
HSC and equivalent examinations of this year have been cancelled due to coronavirus situation in the country. For this reason partial money for the process of form fill up will be sent back to the examinees, said the inter-education board. President of inter-education board coordination sub-committee and Chairman of Dhaka education board Professor Md. Ziaul Haque confirmed the matter to the newsmen on Wednesday evening. At that time he said, as the HSC examinations are not going to be held, so we have decided to pay some money back to the examines. Money will be paid back from the segment where no expenditure was done. Ziaul Haque said, the students will get the money from some portion of the examination center fee, invigilator fee, practical examination fee. But he did not mention specifically that mow much money will be paid back. AH

SSC examinees vandalize center for not allowing to copy
The angry SSC examinees vandalized an examination center at Rowmari upazila in Kurigram district as the local administration took strict measures against copying. They damaged the vehicle of Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO), motorcycles of the teachers, close circuit cameras, security boundary wall, class room and furniture of the school. The incident took place at the Jadur Char High School center in the upazila on Saturday. To get rid of the anger of the examinees UNO was taken away to a secret safer place at that period. Later police took control over the situation. 10-12 persons were injured including a police personnel over the incident. Some students declined to be named alleged that the UNO of Rowmari upazila performed his duty at the Jadur Char High School by not going to other centers. The examinees got angry as he harassed the candidates in different way. UNO of Rowmari Dipankar Roy said, I entered the center after ten minutes of the beginning of the examination and took measures against copying. After completion of the examination the examinees damaged my vehicle, 13 motorcycles of the teachers and 15 close circuit cameras of the school. They also broke hundred and fifty feet security wall, doors and windows of the center. They also set ablaze a motorcycle. Huge damage was done of the government and private properties. So a case is going to be filed in this connection. ASP Sirajul Islam of Rowmari police circle said, after the incident police took control over the situation. Video footage from the cc camera was collected. Legal action will be taken against the real culprits after identifying them through watching the videos. AH
