Syeda Batool Zehra, a determined and hardworking student hailing from the Pahari ethnic group in the border Uri, has achieved an impressive score of 469/500 in her Class 12 examination. Despite facing numerous challenges, including the lack of transportation and tuition facilities in her village, Batool’s dedication and perseverance have made her excel academically. Expressing joy at the announcement of her results, Batool said, “I am a girl from a border area in Uri, where even basic facilities like transportation and tuition centres are scarce. It was challenging for me to travel to school on foot at times, and I couldn’t afford tuition classes. However, I am grateful to Allah for my achievements. I had expected higher marks, but I am content with what I have achieved.” Batool has set her sights on becoming an Indian Administrative Services (IAS) officer to serve and make a positive impact on society. Her role model is Dr Syed Sehrish Ashghar, the Deputy Commissioner of Baramulla, whose dedication and service have inspired her aspirations. The entire family, especially Batool’s father and mother, are overjoyed by her remarkable success. They played a significant role in supporting and encouraging her throughout her academic journey. Batool’s father Arif Hussain Kazmi expressed his happiness and said, “We are proud of Batool’s achievement. The form fill up process for the SSC examinees has been suspended due to coronavirus situation in the country. It was known from the inter education coordination board that the tenure of form fill up might be extended without charging late fee. The form fill up process began on April 1 and was scheduled to complete by April 7. As the government announced countrywide lockdown so the form fill up process has been suspended. Chairman of inter-education coordination board and Dhaka education board chairman Professor Nehal Ahmed said, the ongoing form fill up has been suspended due to lockdown. Coronavirus pandemic is a national problem and after completion of lockdown the time for form fill up will be extended. The candidates will be able to fill up their forms without late fee. About extending time he said, most of the forms have been filled up. But those who could not complete will be given 4 to 5 days time to fill up the forms without late fee. As the routine for SSC examination is not finalized yet, so the time may be extended. AH    

Secretary of primary and mass education ministry Akram Al Hossain said, from this year students up to class three need not to take part in examinations. He said this at a press conference on the occasion of publishing results of primary scholarships at the ministry meeting room at secretariat on Sunday. The Secretary said, there will be evaluation process though examinations are revoked. This process will continue to promote student from one class to another. Examinations will be held in class four and class five. He said, drives against coaching centers are going on throughout the country. Concerned were directed in this regard. Actions are also being taken through mobile courts. In the press conference it was said that 33 thousand students have obtained talent pool scholarships based on the results of Primary Education Completion (PEC) examinations. In the general grade 49 thousand 500 students obtained scholarships. In total 82 thousand 500 students obtained scholarships in the primary level this year. AH

Bangladesh Public Service Commission (PSC) has published the results of 39th special BCS Preliminary Examination. According to the result, total 13 thousand 750 people have passed in this examination. Of these 13 thousand 219 people have passed for the Assistant Surgeon posts and 531 people have passed for the Assistant Dental Surgeon posts. The information came through a notice on Thursday signed by Public Relation Officer of PSC Ishrat Sharmin. It said, the advertisement of the examination was published on April 8, 2018. The results are available on the PSC website: www.bpsc.gov.bd. Besides results are available on mobile phones. For this purpose one has to type: PSC 39 ‘Registration Number’ and then send to 16222 number. The schedule of viva will be announced in due time. It was known that through this special BCS 4 thousand 542 Assistant Surgeons and 250 Assistant Dental Surgeons will be appointed. It is mentionable that the 39th BCS Preliminary Examination was held on August 3. It was held in 32 centers in the capital. 37 thousand 583 candidates took part in the examination. 93 percent candidates were present and two were expelled in the examination. AH
