‘Gen V’ actor Chance Perdomo dies at 27 in bike accident
Actor Chance Perdomo, known for his roles in ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and ‘Gen V’, has died at age 27 following a motorcycle accident. Actor Chance Perdomo, who worked in ‘The Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and ‘Gen V’, died after a bike accident at the age of 27. The news was confirmed by Perdomo’s publicist through a statement. It read, “On behalf of the family and his representatives, it is with heavy hearts that we share the news of Chance Perdomo’s untimely passing as a result of a motorcycle accident. Authorities have advised that no other individuals were involved. His passion for the arts and insatiable appetite for life were felt by all who knew him, and his warmth will carry on in those whom he loved dearest. We ask to please respect the family’s wish for privacy as they mourn the loss of their beloved son and brother.” The producers of ‘Gen V’, which is a spinoff of ‘The Boys’, also mourned Perdomo’s untimely death. They released a joint statement which read, “We can’t quite wrap our heads around this. For those of us who knew him and worked with him, Chance was always charming and smiling, an enthusiastic force of nature, an incredibly talented performer, and more than anything else, just a very kind, lovely person. Even writing about him in the past tense doesn’t make sense. We are so sorry for Chance’s family, and we are grieving the loss of our friend and colleague. Hug your loved ones tonight.” Perdomo played Ambrose Spellman in Netflix’s ‘Chilling Adventures of Sabrina’ and Andre Anderson in ‘The Boys’ spinoff series, ‘Gen V’. Source: India Today

Canada: At least 15 people die in bus accident
At least 15 people have been killed in a crash in the province of Manitoba, Canada, when a bus carrying elderly people collided with a truck. A small bus carrying a group of mainly elderly people to a casino collided with a semi-trailer truck at a highway intersection in a rural part of the Canadian province of Manitoba on Thursday, killing 15 people, police said. Rob Hill, Commanding Officer of the Manitoba Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said the bus was carrying 25 people and authorities in Manitoba were deploying all their resources to the scene. Ten people were taken to hospital. The crash occurred at the junction of two major roads near the town of Carberry, 170 kilometers (105 miles) west of Manitoba's capital of Winnipeg. The bus passengers had been on their way from a senior center to a casino in Carberry. Police said the drivers of both vehicles were alive, and declined to say who might have been responsible for the crash. 'Incredibly tragic,' says Trudeau "The news from Carberry, Manitoba is incredibly tragic," Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau tweeted. "I'm sending my deepest condolences to those who lost loved ones today, and I'm keeping the injured in my thoughts." "My heart breaks hearing the news of the tragic accident near Carberry," Manitoba Premier Heather Stefanson said on Twitter. The crash is one of the most lethal road accidents in recent Canadian history. The worst traffic accident in Canadian history occurred in 1997 when a bus carrying seniors plunged into a ravine in the province of Quebec, killing 44 people.

PM mourns casualties of bus accident in Saudi Arabia
Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today expressed deep shock and sorrow at the death of 24 people in a bus accident at the Abha district of Asir Province in Saudi Arabia. In a condolence message, the Prime Minister prayed for eternal peace of the departed souls and expressed deep sympathy to the bereaved families. The Prime Minister also instructed the foreign minister and mission officials to look into the treatment of injured Bangladeshis. A horrific bus crash killed around 24 people and injured around 23 people in the Abha district of Asir Province, the southwestern region of Saudi Arabia on Monday, according to Bangladesh Consulate General, Jeddah in Saudi Arabia. The accident occurred at about 4.00 pm at Agabat Shaar, where reportedly, many of the passengers were Bangladeshis. The bus was carrying pilgrims to the holy city of Makkah. A bus of Ruba Al Hijaz Transport Company with passengers from different countries, including Bangladeshis living in Abha district, left for Makkah in the early evening. According to the preliminary report, due to the malfunction of the brake system, the bus lost control and collided with a car, rolled over, and caught fire. The passengers could not get off the bus, leaving as many as 24 passengers dead on the spot, which is around 650 km away from Jeddah. Local hospital authorities informed the Consulate representative that the situation is difficult for them to determine the nationalities due to the burning and disfiguring of the bodies. So, it is yet to confirm the exact number of Bangladeshis who died in the accident.
