Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni is standing on the queue with general voters to cast her vote

Education Minister Dr. Dipu Moni casted her vote standing on the queue with general voters in the Chandpur sadar upazila council election. She casted her vote at Kamranga Government Primary School under Rampur union of sadar upazila at around 8:30 am on Sunday.

The number of total voters in the seven upazilas of Chandpur district is 17 lakh 26 thousand 334. There were 6 hundred 48 vote centers.

Voters’ presence was hardly seen in half of the vote centers under seven upazilas. At Chandpur sadar and Faridganj upazila some voters casted their votes in the morning but in the other upazilas the response was very poor.

Total 62 candidates are vying for the chairman post in seven upazilas. But voting is not going to be held in chairman posts at Matlab north, Matlab south and Hajiganj upazilas. The chairman candidates have won there without any contest.

Election was held in Chandpur sadar, Faridganj, Hajiganj, Shahrasti, Kachua, Matlab south and Matlab north upazilas.
