Pass rate falls by 9.41 percent in JSC and JDC

The results of Junior School Certificate (JSC) and Junior Dakhil Certificate (JDC) examinations were published on Saturday.

The pass rate and number of Grade Point Average (GPA-5) achievers in this year’s JSC and JDC examinations marked a significant fall compared to previous year results.

The pass percentage of the JSC and JDC examinations has come down to 83.65 percent from 93.06 percent.

A total of 20 lakh 18 thousand 271 students have passed this year’s JSC and JDC examinations which is 9.41 percent lower than that of last year.

A total of 1 lakh 91 thousand 628 candidates achieved GPA-5 this year. The number was 2 lakh 47 thousand 588 in the last year.

The JSC and JDC examinations were held between November 1 and 18. A total of 24 lakh 68 thousand 820 students from 28 thousand 621 educational institutions appeared in this year’s examinations.

Of them, 11 lakh 44 thousand 778 were male and 13 lakh 24 thousand 42 were female students.

A total of 659 students from nine overseas centers appeared in the JSC examinations.
