J&K: Ease in COVID-19 lockdown under certain conditions

The Jammu & Kashmir administration has relaxed Covid-induced restrictions in eight districts, as the number of cases slows down. The districts include, Poonch, Reasi, Ramban, Doda, Shopian, Kulgam, Ganderbal, and Bandipora. The authorities have passed orders to permit a few more activities as well in those districts.
The authorities have allowed barbers and salons, along with standalone shops, outdoor bazaars, and shopping complexes to function on all days except Saturdays and Sundays.
The authorities also permitted all government and private offices to function without any restriction, but on the condition to follow strict health instructions to avoid Covid cases. Along with that, the wholesale trade of liquor has also been permitted except for Saturdays and Sundays.
In Jammu & Kashmir, the death toll climbed to 4,174, as per the data of the Ministry of Health and Family Welfare (MoHFW). However, guidelines on the Covid containment, notified on 29 May, will continue to remain in force till further orders.
