Raihan Kabir being sent to Bangladesh tonight

Raihan Kabir, a youth from Narayangonj, who had to face the embarrass situation after providing an interview on Al Jazeera, is being sent back to Bangladesh tonight. The information was delivered by Malaysian immigration chief and the news was published on Metro online version.

The immigration chief said, the immigration department will take Raihan to the Kuala Lumpur airport at 9 pm to send him in Bangladesh.

Earlier, Raihan’s lawyers said that he will be sent to the country very soon as the Malaysian immigration department did not file any new complain against him. After the detainment Raihan was sent to 14-day detention and immigration department took him for 13-day remand. As his remand completed on August 19, he will be sent to his country after the air ticket is available, said Raihan’s lawyers.

Mentionable, in a documentary of AlJazeera television Raihan Kabir said that Malaysian government is doing discriminatory attitude to the expatriates by detaining them and sending them into jail. After his remarks, being angry the Malaysian government issued summon against him. He was arrested on July 24.
