‘When Golam Sohrab Dodul told me the story, it seems to me that I can see the story. It seems to me that the story can entertain the audience. It will help them to go to the cinema halls. From that point of view decision was taken to work together’

‘Sapludu’ film Producer and Rtv Chief Executive Officer Syed Ashik Rahman said these at a press conference on the occasion of releasing the songs of the film at Bengal Multimedia Studio at Tejgaon in the capital on Saturday evening.

Golam Sohrab Dodul is Director of the film created under banner of Bengal Multimedia. If everything goes on right track, after getting censor certificate the film will be released on September 27. Apart from the country ‘Sapludu’ will be released simultaneously from USA and North America. Discussions are going on to release it from some other countries.

Concerned technicians including Director Golam Sohrab Dodul, actors-actress Arifin Shuvo, Bidya Sinha Mim, Saluddin Lavlu, Tarik Anam Khan were present at that time.

About losing heritage of country’s film Syed Ashik Rahman said, once upon a time we along with our family members used to go to watch cinemas. That was our most favorite entertainment. We used to make plans which film we would go to watch. We lost our heritage of watching cinemas along with our family members. But in the western countries people still now watch cinemas along with family members. They watch film in groups in the weekend. I believe ‘Sapludu’ will help us to bring back that heritage.

He said, the earlier two films of Bengal Multimedia were much praised. ‘Janmabhumi’ still is being screened in different festivals. It will be screened in Milan film festival. On the other hand ‘Jodi Ekdin’ was screened in 399 cinema halls in North America.

Shooting of this action-thriller type film took place at Dhaka, Bandarban, Rangamati and Cox’s Bazar from October 27 to December 3 last year. Arifin Shuvo, Bidya Sinha Mim, Salauddin Lavlu, Tarik Anam Khan, Zahid Hasan, Shatabdi Wadud, Runa Khan and others played their roles in the film ‘Sapludu’.
