‘Janmobhumi’ gets censor certificate

‘Janmobhumi (The Birth Land)’ the film directed by Proshoon Rahman has obtained the censor certificate. It has obtained the censor certificate on November 20 last.

The film was made under banner of Bengal Multimedia (Rtv) and it was produced by Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Rtv Syed Ashik Rahman.

In different characters the film was casted by Rawnak Hasan, Saira Aktar Jahan, Sangeeta Chowdhury, Aungkon Chakma, Jainal Jack, Pamela Ketcher, Nasir Uddin and lot more.

Director Prosoon Rahman said, the story of the film ‘Janmobhumi’ is made with the deported Rohingya refugees from Rakhine of Myanmar who took shelter at Kutupalong in Cox’s Bazar district of Bangladesh. In August 2017 when Myanmar government conducted massive killings on Rohingyas then to save their lives around 11 lakh Rohingya refugees entered Bangladesh leaving their own homeland.

He also said, of them nearly 65 thousand women were pregnant and many were raped by Myanmar army. Bangladesh government built refugee camps at Kutupalong for their shelter. Their only dream at present is to return to their birth land.

Producer of the film Syed Ashik Rahman said, as a mass media Rtv is broadcasting news, reports, documentaries everyday for this country less people. We think, if the film ‘Janmobhumi’ is exhibited internationally then it can influence the responsive global opinion.
