By increasing one thousand and 516 taka per bhori Bangladesh Jwellers Samity (BAJUS) has increased the prices of gold in the country. Now the price of good quality gold has stood at 73 thousand 483 taka per bhori.

The information was delivered through a press release of BAJUS signed by its president Enamul Haque Khan and general secretary Dilip Kumar Agarwala.

The prices will be effective from today.

According to BAJUS, the prices of gold increased due to the coronavirus situation in the world market. Moreover, gold dealers cannot import gold bars due to suspension of flights in the international routes, revenue complexity at the import level and other official complexities. The prices have been increased in the bullion and poddar markets due to the existing supply against the demand.

So, according to the decision of BAJUS prices of gold and silver have been fixed with effect from August 22.
