Bangladesh Energy Regulatory Commission (BERC) has reduced the price of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) once again at the consumer level.

According to the BERC decision, the retail price of a 12-kg cylinder of LPG has been fixed at 842 taka by reducing it from 906 taka including VAT at the private level. The price will be effective from tomorrow (June 1).

BERC Chairman Abdul Jalil announced the order on Monday. BERC Members Maqbul e-Elahi Chowdhury, Mohammad Abu Faruk, Bazlur Rahman, Secretary Rubina Ferdous, Deputy Director Kamruzzaman and others were present in the price rate fixing program.

But the LPG price of state owned company has not been changed as there is no change of expense at the production level. The price has been remained at 591 taka for a 12-kg cylinder in the government sector.

The new LPG price for automobile use has been fixed at 41.74 taka which was 44.70 taka earlier.
