Sinha murder: Probe committee seeks seven more days

The probe committee formed by the home ministry is not going to submit its report by August 23 in connection with retired Major Sinha Md. Rashed Khan murder case. The committee has sought seven more days time period to the authority as they yet to interrogate one of the accused former OC Pradeep Kumar Das.

The information was delivered by convener of the investigation committee Additional Divisional Commissioner of Chattogram Md. Mizanur Rahman on Thursday.

Mentionable, on August 16, it was told that the investigation committee formed by the home ministry will submit report within next seven days in connection with Major Sinha (retd.) murder case. After the public hearing at Shamlapur, the spot of the incident under Cox’s Bazar district, Md. Mizanur Rahman reiterated that. He also said that he will also give recommendations to prevent such incident in future.

Meanwhile, seven accused including four police members were sent to the jail in connection with the case filed by Sinha’s sister. Judge of the Cox’s Bazar Senior Judicial Magistrate Court-4 Tamanna Farah passed the order when the seven accused were produced before the court after completion of seven days remand. Earlier the court delivered the seven-day remand order to seven accused including four police members each on August 12.
