New born gets special gifts from Prime Minister

In Jhenaidah a mentally challenged mother, her new born baby girl and their shelter provider have received special assistance from Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

Deputy Commissioner of Jhenaidah Soroj Kumar Nath handed over the gifts on behalf of the premier- cash 55 thousand taka and a battery run rickshaw van to them after going Kaliganj upazila health complex on Wednesday. Local Member of Parliament Anwarul Azim Anar, Kaliganj upazila Chairman Jahangir Siddiqi Thandu, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Subarna Rani Shaha, physicians and other people were present at that moment.

Mentionable, last week Amzad Ali, a day laborer of Mayadharpur village under Kaliganj upazila provided shelter to a pregnant mentally challenged woman to his home from roadside.

Last Friday the woman gave birth to a beautiful baby girl at Kaliganj Upazila Health Complex. The incident of proving shelter to a mentally challenged woman and birth of the baby went viral on social media, which came to notice of the Prime Minister.

In this regard the Deputy Commissioner was directed to extend all out cooperation.

After getting the gifts from the Prime Minister the day laborer Amzad Ali became very happy. Meanwhile, the mentally challenged mother and her new born baby are in good health at present, said the physicians.
