People gather at hospitals to get Pfizer shots

Activities of providing Pfizer-BioN-tech corona vaccines have begun at three hospitals in the capital. At the very first day 360 people are getting the vaccine shots. People were gathering in their designated vaccine centers.

On Monday at around 10 am Vice Chancellor of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Professor Dr. Md. Sharfuddin Ahmed inaugurated the vaccination activities at the institution’s convention hall. At the same time at Kurmitola General Hospital’s Director Brigadier General Jamil Ahmed inaugurated the vaccination activities at the hospital premises. On the other hand, Director of Sheikh Russell National Gastro-liver Institute Faruk Ahmed inaugurated the vaccination activities at the hospital premises.

Faruk Ahmed said, SMS were sent to 115 people who did not get corona vaccine after being registered for vaccination. Of these 115 people will be given Pfizer vaccine doses based on their availability.

In this regard on Sunday Line Director of NNC&AH under health directorate Md. Shamsul Haque said, after giving the doses the people will be under observation for 7 to 10 days to find out side effects of the vaccine. We have the stock of 1 lakh 420 dose Pfizer BioN-tech vaccines which we have got from Covax.
