Death and detection due to coronavirus increase in last 24 hours

In the last 24 hours additional 56 people died due to coronavirus infection in the country. With this the number of death has reached at 11,934. In this period 1,386 new coronavirus cases were detected in the country. With this figure the number of coronavirus detected cases has reached at 7,73,513. On Saturday the number of death was 45 and the number of detected cases was 1,285.

The information was delivered through a press release of the health directorate on Sunday afternoon.

The press release said, in the past 24 hours 16,915 samples were tested in the government and non-government laboratories across the country. With this the number of samples tested has increased to 56,30,894. The detection rate was 8.19 percent against the samples tested in one day. The detection rate was 13.74 percent against the total samples tested over the period. In the last 24 hours 3,329 people recovered from the deadly disease and the recovery count has risen to 7,10,162.

Of the 56 deceased in last 24 hours one people was aged between zero to 20 years, three were over thirties, seven were over forties, 15 were over fifties and 30 were over sixty years old.

According to the division wise distribution 22 were from Dhaka division, 21 from Chattogram division, three were from Rajshahi division, four were from Khulna division and two were from Sylhet division from the 56 deceased.

Mentionable, the coronavirus transmission has begun to spread worldwide from the month of December, 2019. On March 11, 2020 the World Health Organization declared the coronavirus crisis as pandemic.
