Health Directorate suspends registration for Covid vaccine

Health Directorate has fallen into pressure after coronavirus vaccine producing agency Serum Institute of India suddenly suspended vaccine export to Bangladesh. Due to vaccine crisis the directorate has suspended vaccine registration process after suspending vaccination process of the first dose.

Additional Director General of the health directorate Professor Mirzady Sabrina Flora delivered the information to the news media on Wednesday.

She said, now vaccine registration process has been suspended. Because the consignment of the vaccine yet to arrive. In the mean time we want to complete vaccination for the people who received the first dose. Registration process for the Covid-19 vaccination has been suspended until further notice is given.

Meanwhile, so far 31 lakh 6 thousand 709 people have taken vaccine doses after beginning of the process of second dose. 58 lakh 19 thousand 757 people have taken the first dose vaccine. Total 89 lakh 26 thousand 466 people have taken both doses of vaccine.
