Number of daily deaths due to coronavirus decreases

Additional 50 people died in the last 24 hours in the country after being infected with coronavirus in this pandemic period. With this the number of deaths has reached at 11,755. In this time 1,742 fresh coronavirus cases were detected in the country. With this the number of total cases in the country has reached at 7,67,338. Yesterday the number of deaths was 61.

The information was delivered through a press release of the health directorate on Wednesday afternoon.

According to the release, in the last 24 hours 20,284 sample tests were conducted in 427 government and non-government laboratories. After conducting the sample tests the rate of traced cases has stood at 8.59 per cent. So far the rate of total traced cases has stood at 13.80 per cent. In this period 3,433 people have recovered from the disease. With this the number of recovered people has raised to 6,98,465. In the last 24 hours the rate of recovery has stood at 90.02 per cent.

In the past 24 hours of the 50 deceased there were two people aged above 30 years, five people were above 40 years, 13 people were above 50 years and 30 people were above 60 years.

According to the division wise distribution, 28 people died in Dhaka, 16 people died in Chattogram, one died in Rajshahi, three people died in Khulna and 2 people died in Sylhet division.

Mentionable, the deadly coronavirus spread worldwide after starting it’s infection from China in December, 2019. On March 11 the world Health Organization (WHO) declared the coronavirus crisis as pandemic.
