Deaths decrease, traced coronavirus cases increase

In the past 24 hours 65 people died due to coronavirus infection in the country. With this the number of deaths has increased to 11,644. In this period 1,739 people were infected with the virus afresh. With this the number of infected people has increased to 7,61,940.

The information was delivered in a press release of the health directorate signed by its additional director general (admin) Nasima Sultana on Monday.

Yesterday 69 people died due to coronavirus infection in the country and 1,359 were infected in the country.

The notice said, in the last 24 hours 3,834 people recovered from the deadly virus. With this the number of recovery has stood at 6,91,162. In this period total 19,452 samples were collected and of them 19,431 were tested in the authorized laboratories.

The first coronavirus case was traced in the country on March 8 last year and the first death occurred due to the infection on March 18.
