UN to provide 1 crore 9 lakh doses of corona vaccine to Bangladesh

Bangladesh is going to get one crore nine lakh doses of corona vaccine under Covax Program from the United Nations (UN).

The World Health Organization (WHO) has published the distribution list of Covid-19 vaccine in the first phase. There names of 138 countries including Bangladesh were mentioned. According to the list, 1 crore 9 lakh 8 thousand doses of vaccine were allocated for Bangladesh.

Bangladesh is going to get this huge number of vaccines from Covax as the fourth country of the world. Pakistan, Nigeria and Indonesia are listed before Bangladesh.

The lion portions of the Covax vaccines are Oxford-AstraZeneca vaccines which are produced by Serum Institute of India.

African nation Ghana at first got the vaccine under Covax program on February 24. This UN alliance has been formed to ensure equal distribution of Covid-19 vaccines among all countries across the world.
