Oxford’s corona vaccine in country by first week of February

Health Minister Zahid Maleque said that Oxford’s corona vaccine will be available in the country by the first week of February or before then.

He said this on Thursday at a program on the occasion of founding anniversary of Swadhinata Chikitsak Parishad (SwaChiP) at the Bangladesh Medical Association (BMA) auditorium in the capital.

The minister said, three crore corona vaccines of Oxford to be available in the country by the end of January or first week of February. Now we are waiting for producing and approval of the vaccine.

He said, the second wave of corona has not hit the country yet. We are well at the moment and want to be well. The situation in Bangladesh is better than USA, India or Europe. Death rate is less also and for that thanks to the physicians.

Presided over by SwaChiP president Dr. Iqbal Arslan, in the program BMA president Dr. Mostafa Jalal Mohiuddin, BSMMU Vice Chancellor Dr. Kanak Kanti Barua among others delivered speech.
