The Criminal Investigation Department (CID) of police has arrested the mosque committee president Abdul Gafur in connection with the incident of blast at the mosque at Talla area under Fatullah police station in Narayanganj.

Special Police Super of Narayanganj CID Nasir Uddin Ahmed said, Abdul Gafur will be shown arrest in connection with the case filed with Fatullah police station over the blast at the mosque.

It is known that the submission of chargesheet about the casualties is on the final stage. 36 people are going to be accused. Of the 36 persons there are 8 persons from Titas, 2 from DPDC and 26 of the mosque committee including the president. But the number could be increased or decreased, said the CID source.

Mentionable, 37 people were burnt in a blast that occurred in the mosque on September 4. Later 34 people succumbed to their injuries. On September 5 Sub Inspector Humayun Kabir of Fatullah police station filed a case accusing some unknown persons. Later the case handed over to CID.
