Saudi Arabia bound flights to start from October 1: FM

Foreign Minister A K Abdul Momen said, flights on all the cancelled routes towards Saudi Arabia will start from October 1. He delivered the information on Thursday afternoon.

The minister said, Bangladeshi expatriates who were in Oman can also return from October 1. But they have to collect PCR test report and also have to maintain 14-day quarantine after going back to that country.

Mentionable, Biman Bangladesh Airlines has announced two special flights to Saudi Arabia for the Bangladeshi expatriates to help return them to the country. They were stranded in Bangladesh after coming here using the return tickets due to lockdown for coronavirus pandemic situation. These two flights will be operated on 26 and 27 September. The information was delivered through a press release of Biman.

Earlier, some special flights were operated to Saudi Arabia with the registered passengers based on first come, first serve method. Now return ticket holder passengers will be preferred.
