First flight in KSA lands after six months

After an interval of around six months of international flight cancellation due to coronavirus situation the first flight of Saudi Arabian Airlines from Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport landed in King Khalid International Airport in Saudi Arabia. The flight landed at Saudi Arabian standard time 3:20 am on Wednesday.

The passengers of the flight were welcomed by the members of ‘Amra Saudi Arab Probasi Bangladeshi’ page.

Earlier the flight of Saudia SV-805 left Dhaka at 12:56 am with 252 passengers. Most of the passengers came to Bangladesh during the rise of corona infection and were stranded.

As the contraction of corona increased in the country Civil Aviation Authority of Bangladesh (CAAB) suspended all domestic and international flight operations from March 24. Later on June 1 the authority permitted limited scale flight operation on domestic and international route. But due to ban of Saudi Arabian government flight operation from Bangladesh was suspended. They permitted flight operation in a limited scale from September. Biman Bangladesh Airlines has also got permission for commercial flight operations in Saudi Arabia from October 1 next.
