Educational institutions to remain closed till October 3

The government has extended leave for one more month in all the educational institutions in the country except qawmi madrasas due to the coronavirus situation. In this period the students are asked to stay at their homes.

In a direction of the education ministry it said on Thursday that the ongoing leave in the educational institutions has been extended up to October 3. In this period all the educational institutions will remain closed.

Earlier the announcement was given mentioning closure of the institutions till August 31.

It was said that the decision was taken after consultation between primary and mass education ministry and education ministry.

All the educational institutions were declared closed on March 17due to increasing coronavirus transmission in the country. From March 26 all the offices declared closed and ply of automobiles were stopped.

After 66 days of general holidays offices were open in a limited version from May 31 and automobiles were allowed to ply in limited number. At that time educational institutions were declared closed again. At the end of August the declaration of closure has been further extended up to October 3.
