PM expresses thanks to Shovon

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has expressed thanks to Bangladesh Chhatra League president Rezwanul Haque Shovon.
The Prime Minister thanked Shovon for greeting Nurul Haque Nur even after being defeated in the DUCSU election and for playing role through his leadership to control the campus situation and to mitigate the tension.
On Saturday evening the newly elected DUCSU leaders went to Ganabhaban to meet the Prime Minister.
At that time Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina said, I asked Shovon to greet the winner and accept the result. He did the same. For this I express my thanks to Shovon. The way he led and brought the situation calm that proved his political leadership. This is called leadership.
She said, Shovon is a member of our Awami family. His grandfather was a freedom fighter, organizer of liberation war and president of Kurigram district Awami League. His father was also president of Kurigram district Chhatra League.

Dengue kills at least 20 patients in first three months
Last year, the highest number of people died of dengue in the country's history. But before the 'peak season' of dengue this year, 20 people died in the last two and a half months. In this situation, the dengue situation is expected to worsen.
According to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS), the number of dengue patients exceeded 1,500 from January to March 19 this year. Of these, 20 people have died during this period. Among them nine were men and 11 were women.

Eid rush: Advance bus ticket sale begins
The sale of advance bus tickets on the occasion of Eid-ul-Fitr has started from today (March 22). Passengers can collect tickets from different counters in the capital.
Ramesh Chandra Ghosh, Chairman of Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners' Association, confirmed the matter on Friday (March 22).
According to Bangladesh Bus Truck Owners' Association, advance tickets will be available at all inter-district bus counters from Friday morning. At the same time, passengers can collect advance tickets online.
Ramesh Chandra Ghosh said that bus fares will be charged as per the fixed fare of BRTA. No extra fare can be charged outside the fare list. All bus owners have been instructed to do so.

Prices of all daily commodities hike except vegetables

Main Eid congregation to be held at the National Eidgah at 8:30 am
The National Eidgah Maidan in the capital is being prepared for the main Eid-ul-Fitr jamaat (congregation). The main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at 8:30 am.
Md Abu Bakr Siddque, public relation officer of Religious Affairs Ministry confirmed this information to the media on Monday (March 25).
However, But if the weather is unfavourable, for any reason, the main congregation of Eid-ul-Fitr will be held at National Mosque Baitul Mukarram at 9 am. Besides, a total of five Eid congregations will be held at National Mosque Baitul Mukarram. The first congregation will be held at 7 am.
Abu Bakar Siddique said that the last congregation will be held at 10:45 am.
