‘I have lost my mother when I was two and half years old. After losing my mother I had found reflections of my mother in one of my school teachers. Now I have found reflections of my mother in another person and she is the Prime Minister.’

The newly elected Vice President (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU) Nurul Haque Nur said these on Saturday when he was delivering speech during exchange of greetings with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina at her official residence in Ganabhaban in the capital.

Nur said, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina’s bold leadership and development activities have taken her to a praiseworthy position in the world. I want cooperation from the Prime Minister to make DUCSU active.

The DUCSU election was held on March 11. But raising allegation of rigging all the student organizations except Chhatra League boycotted the voting on that day.

After elected as VP, Nurul Haque Nur demanded reelection in all the posts except that of VP and Social Service Secretary. Later he demanded reelection in all DUCSU posts. Confusion was also created over his oath taking.
