Nur has to be taken as our own: BCL
Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) has accepted quota reforms movement leader Nurul Haque Nur as the Vice President (VP) of Dhaka University Central Students’ Union (DUCSU). BCL President Rezwanul Haque Chowdhury Shovon urged the leaders and activists of the organization for not waging any type of movement regarding the matter.
His urge came in when he was present in front of the residence of the Vice Chancellor on Tuesday afternoon.
Shovon said, we have to accept the elected VP and work along with him for the interest of the university.
He said, Bangladesh is for the 16 crore people, we have to look after all of them. We cannot deny anybody. The minds of BCL activists are very broad. Nur has to be taken as our own.
Earlier at around 1:45 pm on Tuesday Nurul Haque Nur, the leader of quota reforms movement forum ‘Bangladesh General Students Rights Protection Council’ came under attack at the TSC area in Dhaka University when he tried to join a procession.
Mentionable, Nurul Haque Nur, the quota reformist leader was elected VP in the DUCSU election. BCL General Secretary Golam Rabbani was elected the GS. Besides, DU unit BCL General Secretary Saddam Hossain was elected AGS.
DU Vice Chancellor Professor Dr. Akhtaruzzaman declared the results at around 3:15 am on Tuesday at Nabab Nawab Ali Chowdhury Senate Bhaban auditorium.
