Abu Saeed Murder:
Two Policemen Remanded for 4 Days
Two policemen accused of killing Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University in Rangpur during the quota reform movement, have been placed on a four-day remand. On Tuesday, September 10, ASI Amir Hossain and Sujan Chandra Roy were presented in Rangpur Metropolitan Administrative Court. While the PBI requested a five-day remand, the court granted four days.
According to the plaintiff's lawyer, the two policemen directly shot Abu Saeed. Both officers were arrested by the Metropolitan Police and later handed over to the PBI for further investigation. The remand request was approved in court on Tuesday.
Abu Saeed, a student of Begum Rokeya University’s English Department, was killed on July 16 during the anti-discrimination student movement. His elder brother, Ramzan Ali, filed a murder case on August 19.
