Tax offices to remain open till 10 pm on Wednesday and Thursday

All the income tax offices throughout the country will remain open from 9 am to 10 pm on Wednesday and Thursday for paying income tax.

The information came in through a direction of National Board of Revenue (NBR) on Tuesday.

The order was sent to all the tax zones of the country signed by NBR Member Md. Abdur Razzak (Tax Administration and Human Resource Management).

Meanwhile, all the commercial banks of the country will remain open till 8 pm on Wednesday and Thursday to facilitate income tax challan and pay order submission process.

Bangladesh Bank has sent this direction to all the chief executives of concerned banks of the country on Tuesday.

Bangladesh Bank issued the notification following request from National Board of Revenue.

The last date of submitting income tax return for the individual category is going to be completed on Thursday (30^th November).

Those who would fail to submit their return within 10 pm have to bear 2 percent monthly interest over the fixed tax.

The weeklong Income tax Fair is being observed in 17 tax zones of Dhaka and at 31 tax zones throughout the country including Chittagong, Gazipur, Bogra, Mymensingh, Rangpur, Rajshahi, Khulna, Sylhet and Barisal.

The program starting from 24^th November will continue till 30^th November. The last day will be observed as Income tax Day.
