Khulna-Rangpur in the afternoon, Dhaka-Comilla in the evening

The fifth edition BPL has got its momentum. The four favorite teams have already ensured their position in the play off. They are- Comilla Victorians, defending champion Dhaka Dynamites, Khulna Titans and Rangpur Raiders.

In the first qualifier match the top two teams on the point table Tamim’s Comilla and Shakib’s Dhaka will face each other. The winner will go direct in the final. The defeated team will face the winner of eliminator in the second qualifier.

Mashrafe’s Rangpur Raiders and Mahmudullah’s Khulna Titans will face each other in the eliminator at 2:00 pm in the Mirpur Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium. And the first qualifier will start at 7:00 pm.

The second finalist will be determined in the second qualifier at 6:00 pm on Sunday.

Comilla Victorians is in the top position with 18 points from 9 win and 3 defeat of the 12 matches after the league round. Dhaka Dynamites is in the second position with 3 points behind from Comilla.
Khulna Titans could not reach in the qualifier round though they have 15 points equal with Dhaka as they were behind in the net run rate. Rangpur Raiders are in the fourth position with 12 points.
Chris Gayle displayed his partial show in the tournament not delivered the full. And Brendon McCullum also did not deliver his ability according to the demand.

But time has come to seek full show down from them. They have to perform in the day’s do or die match as today is the match for eliminator. If they lose today’s match then have to say good bye to the tournament. Chance will come to go to the final if they win. It is necessary for Gayle and McCullum to show their form to take place in the final after winning today’s match and the match next with the defeated team of the first eliminator.

On the other hand, Khulna Titans have no big star and their overseas player dependency is not much. Because their local players are in good form. Khulna also are self confident as they defeated Comilla Victorians in the double league round episode before their do or die match. They were also inspired by the result of the last tournament.

At that time they were one step ahead to the final by winning in the eliminator match. But they had to satisfy with the third position as they were defeated by Rajshahi Kings in the second qualifier.

In the current BPL Khulna and Rangpur faced each other two times. In the first game in Chittagong Khulna won by 9 wickets. But Rangpur made a sweet revenge in Dhaka by defeating Khulna by 19 runs. But the two teams have no alternative but win in the eliminator.

On the other hand, Comilla defeated Dhaka in both the matches they faced each other in the tournament. On 20th November the team of Tamim Iqbal beat the host Dhaka by 4 wickets. They also defeated Dhaka by 12 runs on 29th November in Chittagong.
